In plain English, does support FLAC or not?

Having switched from Windows 2000 to Linux Ubuntu, I no longer have Cool Edit Pro 2.1 to verify lossless audio. Therefore, I'd value more any reply confirming Cool Edit Pro 2.1 (or equivalent quality app) verification of lossless audio on

The client software will properly scrobble flac files to one's profile, as far as I know. I don't know if they do their fingerprinting on flacs- that may only be for mp3 scrobbles.

(BTW, prior flac-related posts in this thread were about's handling of flacs.)

Last FM doesn't "have" FLAC on their site, no. They just have some streaming mp3.

The cool thing about Last FM is you can listen to whatever music you have on your own computer, and Last FM will scrobble it to keep track of your listening history.

Last FM does scrobble your FLAC listening, if your FLAC's are properly tagged.

My question in this thread was about whether Live Music Archive would be able to tag the FLAC's that are stored here, so they will scrobble properly after people download it.
